DescriptionInside one of the recreation barracks at Manzanar.jpg
English: While all original barracks from the Manzanar Internment Camp were dismantled upon closure, the recreation efforts of the last couple decades have led to the installation of era-appropriate barracks, the sort of housing "provided" at the site. The prisoners themselves usually had to install these WWII (then contemporary, of course) military barracks to then live in despite the harsh desert conditions. Seen here, a cot to demonstrate some of the sleep conditions and a capacity marker.
