Beans and yam is a dish often eaten for lunch in Nigeria.

- Dried beans
- Onion, chopped
- Stock cube
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Palm oil
- Yam, peeled and cut into chunks
Equipment[edit | edit source]
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Wash and drain the beans, then transfer to a pot with the onion, stock cube, salt, and pepper.
- Add enough water to cover everything in the pot. Boil until the beans are almost soft.
- Add the yam, and boil until the yam and beans are soft.
- Stir in the palm oil, and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Serve.
