A radish is a root vegetable, which is usually grown in the spring (Northern Hemisphere) and autumn (Southern Hemisphere). It is grown all over Europe, America, Asia and the Pacific.

It appears as a white vegetable with a tough red skin.

Radish often has a piquant taste and burns the tongue

A radish can be used as a garnish for salads, or in its own right as an ingredient in a pie or soup.
